Ryan + Dani by Evie Rupp

Within the first two emails, Dani + I knew we were born to be best friends. It was an instant click for both of us. Over the months of booking, planning, chatting, and getting ridiculously excited together, Ryan, Dani, and I became super close. The kind of close where I randomly FaceTime them just to say “HI HOW’S IT GOIN?!” because that’s my dream relationship with my clients. ;)

Ryan + Dani are some of the most passionately wild, deeply kind, and contagiously loving people I’ve ever met. I’m unbelievably thankful that they chose me + trusted me with their day.

Dani put so much time + effort into the littlest details of her day. She was born with a green thumb, and works in a greenhouse, so naturally she did all the florals + greenery for her own day. (GOALS?!?!)

As the three of us built our friendship, I heard more of their story. Including one little detail that left me in tears on their wedding day as I watched it unfold. Dani’s mom, her best friend, passed away only a couple of years ago to cancer. It was a painful, hard death and time for Dani + her family. So on her wedding day, even though her mom couldn’t be there, Dani incorporated little details of her: including her mom’s hat, which she set on a chair where her mother would’ve sat.

Their whole day was full of life, joy, and love. I laughed + cried so many times throughout the day. And even now, looking back through the photos, you can still feel every emotion.

Here’s to you, Ryan + Dani. Thank you for your love, trust, and friendship with me. I love you two more than I can say.

xx

Ross + Sarah by Evie Rupp

Ross + Sarah met at work. They described their relationship as a “real life Jim + Pam” and it’s the cutest thing to watch. They’re so kind and tender with each other. It’s so clear that they’re best friends.

I just love my couples so much.

I’ve been DYING to share this shoot from the minute we came up with this idea. Ross + Sarah happened to be on the coast of Amalfi, Italy, on their anniversary trip at the same time I was there. The minute we figured that out, an adventure was INSTANTLY planned.

I honestly don’t have the right words for this session. But I’ll just say this: these are the people and the shoots that just inspire me to BREATHE, the ones that make me feel alive to the depths of my soul.

It was rocky, windy, bright, midday sun, but we had the time of our lives out there on that boat.

I’d go back in two seconds flat. Who’s ready?!?!

Just out of curiosity…. would you be down to hop on a rocky boat, explore the coastline of Italy, pop some champagne, laugh, get sprayed with sea spray when you push the boat throttle all the way forward?? How about frolicking around a busy street in Italy in front of an even busier restaurant patio, maybe make out a little, maybe have half-dry beach hair? Yeah? Cool. Then you’re my kinda couple. ;)

Ryan + Corrinne by Evie Rupp

These two beautiful humans are some of the wildest, happiest, most adventurous souls I’ve ever freaking met.

They flew me out to The Big Island of Hawaii for their intimate, family wedding. They got married on the back lawn of their church, overlooking the ocean with just their families as witnesses.

I stole them away for a few minutes to snag some bridal photos, and then we all made our way up to the most incredible, romantic, little coffee farm you’ve ever seen. There was wood-fired pizza, a shrimp truck, and so many twinkle lights. Foggy, dreamy, and so full of love.

Two days later, on Monday morning (3:30am wake-up for this sunrise session!) we met up again at their favorite valley, where we frolicked around for their bridal session.

When my couples ask me whether or not they should do a bridal session, I almost always refer back to Ryan + Corinne. They took photos on their day… but there wasn’t any stress or pressure around it. They got to FULLY focus on their families, enjoying the love and celebration with those closest to them. And then, a couple days later, they got to put their gorgeous wedding clothes back on again for a couple hours of just pure joyous ADVENTURE. No worries about time. No stress about family waiting back at the reception. No fear of dirt or mud on the dress. Just wild, uninhibited FUN.

We found a rope swing, hiked with backpacks, and had the time of our lives.

Ryan + Corinne are genuine, kind, passionate humans and I’m so blessed they chose me to capture their special day. They’re also kicking butt on their own photography business on the island now, so go check them out!!!!

Ryan + Corinne: love you guys so much. I can’t wait for our next adventure together!!!!

Jordan + Lindsay by Evie Rupp

This might be one of my favorite shoots + couples of all time. From the minute I met Jordan + Lindsay, they were ready for anything + everything.

You ready for the love story of the century?! These two met when they were FIVE YEARS OLD, in Sunday School. They started dating in high school, and Jordan asked Lindsey on their second date by WRITING AND PLAYING HER A SONG ON HIS GUITAR. If that doesn’t make you cry, I don’t know what will. They’ve been married for over 4 years now, and their relationship is one of those that shows you what a powerful marriage can look like. They’re even more in love today than they were in high school. One marriage, some fur babies, and a house remodel later, they’re the happiest + kindest couple you’ll ever meet.

Jordan + Lindsay… thank you for giving me the chance to hear your story and force my way into a friendship with y’all. You guys are beyond special, and I’m so happy we’re friends now.

Love you both so much.
